“Green schools for a bright green future – small steps can make a difference” is an Erasmus KA2 strategic partnership of 6 European schools from Germany, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Poland and Lithuania, whose main objective is to raise awareness about environmental issues, climate change and sustainability. Therefore, our project will enhance environmentally responsible behavior that is essential for the protection of our planet and the improvement of our quality of life.
We aim at working on reducing the use of plastics as much as possible, on saving water and energy at schools and at homes, on protecting marine life and wildlife in danger of extinction. We believe that even our small steps and actions implemented throughout the duration of this project, such as waste separation and recycling, planting trees, raising awareness about endangered species and gradually adopting environmentally healthy habits in our daily lives will lead us towards a better and greener future in close contact with the natural world that surrounds us.
Also, we will focus on developing life skills through learning by doing, as experimental learning has a more permanent impact on students. Through creating presentations, posters and leaflets, pupils will realize the importance of nature and the great value of our big blue planet. Our project includes activities such as planting trees, saving energy at our schools, making our schoolyards cleaner and greener, protecting endangered species and keeping our beaches clean.
